Default FMEA or FMECA

I recently had feedback from an auditor about my comments in relation to a FMEA. His first words were: 'Regarding your FMECA...'. I reminded him that the customer was looking for a FMEA as opposed to FMECA.

Apparently, these boil down to being the same things these days! It's news to me!

Does everyone agree that there is still in use a FMEA AND a FMECA?
